In a significant development, the PCA’s member magazine, Beyond the Boundaries has evolved into an online hub of stories, features and entertainment.

Following extensive member consultation, issue 38 of BtB has transformed away from a printed 72-page magazine into a mixture of video and written content now optimised for mobile and online viewing.

Kicking off the new-look Beyond the Boundaries, Somerset’s Mollie Robbins sets out her aims to become the first trailblazing women’s cricketer in England and Wales to give birth and return to playing professionally in an exclusive interview.

The 27-year-old describes her journey through motherhood so far as her and partner Dan welcomed baby Sulley into the world, before meeting his 15 new cricket aunties down at Taunton.

England’s Sonny Baker and Matt Fisher undertake some off the cuff interviews with their teammates and a few guests in an entertaining watch.

With no notes, preparation or research ‘Sonny and Fish’ put their content creator skills to the test at the PCA’s Team England Golf Day in ‘Halfway House’.

From the serious to the light-hearted, the pair chat to Emilio Gay, Harry Brook, Gus Atkinson, Ollie Robinson and plenty more about captaincy, dress sense, debuts, golf and everything in between at the event to thank commercial partners.

The Vitality IT20 Women’s Player of the Summer Freya Kemp sat down with Beyond the Boundaries to discuss her summer so far, the adaptations she’s made to her own game and how it’s paid off for the 21-year-old.

‘In Your Corner’ provides members with the latest news impacting professional cricketers in England and Wales from the people at the heart of those conversations. This month, PCA Chief Executive Daryl Mitchell explains the new replacement player changes for the Rothesay County Championship run-in.

Somerset and Trent Rockets teammates Tom Banton and Craig Overton also took time out of their hectic calendar to discuss the incredible summer that the 32-year-old all-rounder is producing this year for ‘MVP in Focus’, having already picked up an unprecedented three PCA Player of the Month awards and been named in every PCA Team of the Month in 2026.

Overton smashed a 30-ball 79 against Yorkshire to propel his side to Blast Finals Day and currently holds a healthy lead in the PCA Men’s Domestic Overall MVP Rankings.

Lancashire’s Luke Wells pens an open and honest blog for this month’s current player column, titled ‘Keeping Perspective’, explaining his shoulder injury at Bristol and subsequent rehabilitation.

Former England batter Chris Broad tells of his ‘Life and Luck in Cricket’ for BtB’s past player column, explaining his journey through the professional game and then into the realm of Match Refereeing.

Look out for Fran Wilson’s take on PCA Education Funding helping her to access support post playing career as she became a coach in ‘Your Benefits Unlocked’.

And Gloucestershire’s David Payne delves into his first List A game, a Pro40 Division One match against Hampshire from 2009 in ‘On Debut’.

PCA Chief Executive Daryl Mitchell said: “The evolution of ‘Beyond the Boundaries’ into a dynamic online hub marks an exciting milestone for our members. By transitioning to a mobile-first format with rich video content, we are ensuring that the incredible stories of our players, from Mollie Robbins’ groundbreaking journey to Craig Overton’s stellar season, are more accessible than ever.

“This has been driven by the members and will be supplemented by a former player special issue later this year, providing a further platform for us to explain key developments, such as the new replacement player changes, ensuring our members stay informed and connected, whilst hopefully being entertained.”
