By 19 October, 20162 Comments

Assistant Chief Executive Jason Ratcliffe to leave PCA ” After 14 years of outstanding work on behalf of the members of the PCA Jason Ratcliffe has let us know that he feels it is time for him to move on. We are very sad to see him leave. Ratters has done a huge amount for members present and past, and his personal commitment to the organisation has been truly exceptional. He has let us know that he will be with us until the end of the year which gives us time to ensure a smooth handover of all the work he is doing and also to say goodbye and thank you to him. “Jason’s involvement with the organisation started in 1997 when he first became a player rep for Surrey, and he joined the PCA as a full time employee in 2002 when he retired as a player. Over the past 14 years he has been involved in the senior management of the organisation and in particular has had a huge role to play in the Professional Cricketers’ Trust and on the Player Services side of the group where he has led and initiated many of the developments that are such an important part of what the PCA is today, and contribute so much to the services the organisation offers us as members. “He is rightly held in the highest regard by the members for his commitment and dedication. Personally, and on behalf of all the membership, I would like to thank him most sincerely. I am sure you will all join me in thanking him for all his work on our behalf and hopefully we will find more than one occasion over the next three months before he leaves to show him our appreciation.” Jason Ratcliffe said: “I’m proud of the part I’ve played over the last 14 years and with so much achieved, it feels like the right time to look for a new challenge. “Representing players‎ and members have been some of the most fulfilling and rewarding years of my life. To have played a central part in the growth of this special organisation since first becoming a player representative in the late 1990s, has been particularly rewarding. I’m leaving with some sadness but in the knowledge that our framework to provide services to members is built to last.” Mark Wallace, Charman {{ak_sharing}}
