Ottis Gibson crowns amazing season with NatWest Player of the Year Award – 24/09/2007 At the NatWest PCA Awards which took place tonight at the Royal Albert Hall, the Professional Cricketers’ Association (PCA), in association with NatWest and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), confirmed Durham’s Ottis Gibson as the NatWest PCA Player of the Year. The Awards are unanimously supported by the players, with the main awards voted on by the players themselves. The title of NatWest PCA Young Player of the Year was bestowed upon Yorkshire’s 19 year old Adil Rashid. Runners up for NatWest PCA Player of the Year were Mushtaq Ahmed (Sussex), Andy Caddick (Somerset) and last year’s winner, Mark Ramprakash (Surrey). Runners up in the NatWest PCA Young Player of the Year were Ravi Bopara, 22 (Essex), Stuart Broad, 21 (Leicestershire) and Luke Wright, 22 (Sussex). The Fund is part of the PCA’s commitment to helping current and former players and their dependants in times of hardship, upheaval or to readjust to the world beyond the game.
