Great Witchingham CC – Cricket Professional

Great Witchingham Cricket Club is a Norfolk-based club playing in the ECB East Anglian Premier League (widely recognised as one of the best leagues in the country). GWCC fields two Saturday sides and one Sunday side. The club runs a junior programme which fields an U9, U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19 teams as well as a Women’s softball team.

GWCC is looking to appoint a full-time UK based cricket professional on an ongoing basis. The role will be responsible for helping to organise weekly junior sessions, helping to run senior training, as well as playing in the 1st XI in all competitions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

– Play and assist at all 1st XI games.
– Assist with – planning, organising and leading junior and senior training sessions.
– Attend and coach at junior fixtures.
– Report to and be a part of Management Committee meetings, if needed.
– Help in all aspects of the club including fund raising and sponsorship.
– Attend weekly selection committee meetings.
– Input into player recruitment efforts.

Candidate requirements:

– Has recently played, or been involved in, National Counties, Second XI or First Class cricket.
– UK resident.
– Minimum ECB Level 2 coach or an undertaking to do so.
– Up to date DBS and Safeguarding/First Aid certificates or an undertaking to do so.
