The PCA England Legends make a return to the field this weekend ahead of a packed 2025 that will see them play at some brand-new venues with many stars from the English game set to make their debuts.
An extraordinary season last year saw the Legends raise over £210,000 for local cricket clubs and schools. The total money raised by the programme for recreational clubs has now surpassed £1.5 million in the past 10 years.
The Legends outfit will continue to bolster an impressive array of iconic former England stars this summer. These include captain Alex Tudor, Monty Panesar, Kent head coach Adam Hollioake, Jonathan Trott and Mark Ramprakash amongst others.
Long-standing skipper Tudor has been leading the PCA England Legends since 2018.
A number of current and former stars are poised to make their debuts for the Legends side this summer. These include the Ashes-winning fast bowler Chris Tremlett along with the Essex duo of Tom Westley and Jamie Porter, former Kent all-rounder Darren Stevens and former Surrey wicketkeeper Jon Batty.
"We cannot wait to get involved with our communities and raise funds this year with the same sense of enthusiasm”

The team is set to play seven matches and two tournaments over the course of the summer all across the country. They kickstart their campaign against Kimbolton School in Cambridgeshire on Sunday, 18 May, the school where Tudor is the Cricket Professional.
This summer will also see the Legends play at a selection of cricket clubs for the first time. These include Hornsey CC, Great Witchingham CC, Wokingham CC and Horsford CC. The latter will be hosting a tournament where club cricketers get an excellent opportunity to take the field alongside some of their favourite cricketing heroes.
The squad will also return to venues where they have played in the past. Those being Mawdesley CC, Valley End CC, Hadleigh and Thundersley CC and the aforementioned Kimbolton School.
The 2025 season will see the PCA England Legends once again sponsored by the Suffolk-based brewing company Greene King who return for a second year as the official shirt sleeve sponsor and the Italian sportswear manufacturers Macron who are the team’s Official Apparel Partner.
As part of their agreement, Greene King are able to gift a Legends match to a grassroot club of their choice with Hornsey CC in North London receiving the honours this year.
On Friday, 20 June Hornsey CC will team up with the Cricketers’ Trust to raise money for the charity which provides vital, life-changing support to current and former professional cricketers and their immediate families.
At the end of the season, one of the members from the team will be named the PCA England Legends Player of the Summer. Former England and Surrey batter Ali Brown is currently the reigning winner, having won the accolade two years in a row.
The winner will receive a cash prize of £1,000 along with an engraved trophy from Mappin & Webb.
Former England all-rounder and PCA England Legends captain, Alex Tudor, said: “It’s always an exciting time of the summer when I get the honour to lead the PCA England Legends out in front of a passionate crowd.
“Last year, we collectively raised more than £210,000 for local clubs and we cannot wait to get involved with our communities and raise funds this year with the same sense of enthusiasm.
“I also want to thank Greene King and Macron for their continued support for the Legends and am looking forward to seeing everyone at my school, Kimbolton this Sunday for the first match of the season”
