The top four men’s and women’s domestic players have been announced using the PCA’s Most Valuable Player Rankings, powered by OFX, with these being the penultimate monthly awards of the 2025 domestic season.

The One Day Cup also provided some noteworthy performances with Hampshire and Essex captains Nick Gubbins and Tom Wesley completing a strong line-up for August.

In the women’s game, Northern Superchargers secured their first Hundred title after beating Southern Brave by seven wickets in the final. The side therefore sees two nominees for the August award in Phoebe Litchfield and Annabel Sutherland. The players are selected by the PCA’s Most Valuable Player Rankings, powered by OFX, which picks out the game’s top performers across every single fixture. This then forms the rankings for each competition, as well as an overall table which is how the top four are selected. The MVP takes into account batting, bowling and fielding contributions as well as match defining efforts using a unique algorithm developed by CricViz.

The PCA Player of the Month will be decided by a 50:50 split between the PCA MVP Rankings and the public vote – with the poll closing on 2 September at 10pm. With a short window to have your say, vote now to pick your winner of the August awards.
