Win Tickets For Cricket United Day!

Win Tickets For Cricket United Day! Saturday 29th July sees Cricket United Day return to the Kia Oval, with the three biggest cricket charities in the country – our own PCA Professional Cricketers’ Trust, Chance To Shine and the Lord’s Taverners – coming together to change lives through cricket. Coming together to change lives through cricket means the PCA Professional Cricketers’ Trust helping former and current professional players and their dependants in times of hardship and upheaval, by offering wide-ranging support, Chance to Shine offering children an amazing opportunity to play cricket and the Lord’s Taverners giving disadvantaged and disabled young people a sporting chance. This year, we are also taking the chance to mark some special cricket anniversaries – the Kia Oval’s 100th Test, during which Cricket United Day falls, and the 60th birthday of Test Match Special. We’ve always involved some sort of doodling in our fundraising efforts – cricket is a game which loves a draw, and this year we are inviting you to join Joe Root and Ben Stokes in creating some art of your own. We’ve put together a list of some of the great players to have graced the Oval, many of whom reserved their best performances for this special ground. And we want you to draw them, in any way you see fit, whether that’s a faithful replication of their headshot below, or an impressionistic depiction of when they shone at the Oval. Then you’ll send us your work of art on social media – via Twitter, Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag #OvalDoodle and tagging in the relevant @cricketunited account – and be entered into a draw to win a pretty special prize. You could win: Two tickets to the Kia Oval to watch England take on South Africa on Cricket United Day itself, along with a trip to the Test Match Special box to see where their radio magic is still being created 60 years on. All that’s left to do is to pick a player from our list and get doodling! To pick a player to draw, get some ideas and view the terms and conditions visit the Cricket United website.
