Joe Denly has flown to the top of the Overall rankings following an MVP One-Day Cup high score of the season.

The Kent all-rounder scored a staggering 56.84 MVP points in the match following Kent’s four-wicket victory over Glamorgan. Denly successfully chased down the Glamorgan total with an unbeaten 150 having previously starred with the ball taking 4/56.

Denly followed the high score up with an unbeaten 44 to give Kent victory over Somerset and top the rankings with 101.66 MVP Points.

Keaton Jennings recent performances haven’t gone unnoticed as the opening batsman earns an England call-up for the Test Series against Pakistan.

Jennings has performed admirably in both formats so far and has been rewarded for his fine form with a call-up to England’s Test side for the second Test against Pakistan at Headingly replacing Mark Stoneman.

Despite Lancashire’s inconsistent start, Jennings has been the hallmark recently for consistent performances and leads the way with 84.16 MVP Points.

Back to back MVP Man of the Matches for Middlesex’s Paul Stirling has seen the Irishman charge to third of the overall One Day Cup Rankings with a total of 77.11 MVP points.

Stirling recorded two centuries in his last four outings and looks to have forged a solid opening partnership with Nick Gubbins.

After some impressive performances Middlesex also see Ravi Patel climbing up the rankings.

With wickets coming thick and fast for Patel, the left-armer has moved up into 6th place with 69.17 MVP Points.

The MVP formula was designed by the players to identify the match-winners and key influencers of matches throughout the domestic and international season.

An innovation which provides a more rigorous analysis of player performances than traditional batting and bowling averages.

It was a debut to remember for Worcestershire’s Callum Ferguson as he smashed the rapids to a six-wicket victory over Leicestershire Foxes.

Ferguson scored 192 to chase down the foxes score of 376 and finished with 44.25 MVP Points to keep up Worcestershire’s recent good form.

Last season’s overall MVP winner Samit Patel, celebrated signing a new contract with current One-Day Cup champions Nottinghamshire Outlaws, with his highest score of the season.

Patel scored a century in the Outlaws score of 409 as the Englishman makes his first significant contribution to retaining his MVP 2017 title.

Leicestershire’s Ben Raine continued his fine form for the month in Leicester’s last outing scoring 83 against Worcestershire and putting himself in the frame for the Overall Player of the Month.
