BOON TO VISIT CHARITY EVENT

boon to visit charity event Tim Boon, the former Leicestershire batsman and coach, will be going back to his roots on Sunday August 16 for a charity fund-raising cricket match. Boon, who is now a coach of the England Development Programme based at Loughborough, began his career at Warmsworth Cricket Club near Doncaster. He will be back at the South Yorkshire Senior League club’s King George Playing Fields ground this Sunday as one of the organisers of a T20 match between an Emerging Yorkshire side and a Local Legends XI. The cricket match forms the centrepiece of a multi-sports activities day to raise funds for the Bella’s Eye Gaze Equipment charity which has been set up to help local girl Bella Malloy who suffers from Rett Syndrome. Four year-old Bella was diagnosed with the rare neurological disorder last year and the charity has been set up to help her family purchase Eye Gaze equipment to help her communicate with the world. The events starts at 12.30pm and will also include learning zone activities, mini football, Kwik cricket, karate, boxing training, face painting, street dancing, bouncy castles, music and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training for children and adults.
