The Professional Cricketers’ Association is the representative body for current and former professional cricketers in England and Wales and champions their ongoing interests. The PCA is seeking to appoint from within the membership a Personal Development and Welfare Intern for a 6-month period to support Academy Personal Development and Welfare support delivery in the North.
The Role
To work alongside experienced PCA Personal Development and Welfare Managers (PDMs) with hands on involvement in the creation, co-ordination and delivery of content to male and female academy players at Durham CCC and Yorkshire CCC. This will be largely evening and weekend work, and specific dates and times will be agreed in advance. Candidates need to live within a commutable distance to both counties.
Essential Skills and Experience
- An interest in player development and player welfare.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and engage with athletes.
- Good organisational skills
- Flexible and willing to travel to both counties to deliver in-person sessions.
- Willing to get or hold an advanced DBS and complete the ECB Safeguarding Course.
Starts: November 2025
Ends: April 2026
