Remarkable Form Playing for Kent, he scored four centuries and one double-century in four matches in a remarkable run of form as follows: July 2 – 5 against Surrey in the Frizzell County Championship 135 runs from 177 balls with twenty 4’s July 6 against Glamorgan in the National Cricket League 122 runs from 97 balls with nine 4’s and one 6 July 9 – 11 against Nottinghamshire in the Frizzell County Championship 1st innings 149 runs from 143 balls with twenty-two 4’s 2nd innings 113 runs from 146 balls with thirteen 4’s July 15 – 18 against Lancashire in the Frizzell County Championship 203 runs from 257 balls with thirty five 4’s and one 6 Trophy Ed receives a Waterford Crystal Trophy and a bottle of Grants Whiskey.
