Somerset duo Craig Overton and Sophie Luff have won the headline accolades at the 2026 PCA Awards in partnership with Toyota while emerging England stars Sonny Baker and Tilly Corteen-Coleman also received coveted honours at Exhibition White City.
A phenomenal season for Overton saw him collect a PCA Awards quadruple, winning the Toyota PCA Men’s Player of the Year trophy, the PCA Men’s Domestic Overall MVP, powered by OFX, the Rothesay County Championship Player of the Year and selection in the IG PCA Men’s Team of the Year.
Overton becomes the first Somerset player to secure the award since Nick Compton in 2012, beating competition from the notable shortlist of players including Joe Clarke, George Hill and Dan Lawrence.
The Somerset and Trent Rockets star joins a prestigious list of recent winners such as Jordan Cox, Liam Dawson, Harry Brook, Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root.
Somerset complete the double as their captain Luff also won the player-voted for award and becomes the first winner of the Toyota PCA Women’s Player of the Year since Eve Jones won it in 2021 to not have played international cricket. Impressing for her county all season and in The Hundred, which she won with Trent Rockets, Luff was also selected to bat at number four in the Metro Bank PCA Women’s Team of the Year.
Luff emerged victorious from her peers to win the award against nominees Maia Bouchier, Sophia Dunkley and Mady Villiers, joining an exclusive list of recent previous winners in Emma Lamb, Kathryn Bryce, Tammy Beaumont and Nat Sciver-Brunt.
The Toyota PCA Men’s Young Player of the Year award went to Hampshire and England’s Baker who was rewarded with a Test match debut, playing against New Zealand at the Kia Oval. The 21-year-old took 10 international wickets, showing his prowess with six in IT20s and remarkably becomes the first Hampshire player to win this award since it was introduced in 1990.
Left-arm spinner Corteen-Coleman enjoyed a year which saw her earn IT20 and ODI debuts for England, whilst impressing for Surrey and Southern Brave in The Hundred as she claimed the Toyota PCA Women’s Young Player of the Year award.
The 57th edition of the most prestigious awards ceremony in English and Welsh cricket was held at Exhibition White City, London, as the PCA Awards in partnership with Toyota was attended by hundreds of guests, former players, partners, stakeholders and more than 180 current players.

Toyota PCA Men’s Player of the Year
Somerset all-rounder Overton has enjoyed a fantastic all-round year, amassing 951 runs, 76 wickets and 45 catches. Incredibly, Overton also won an unprecedented three PCA Player of the Month awards, alongside his PCA Awards quadruple.
The 32-year-old scored three First-Class hundreds and averaged 19.18 with the ball in the County Championship. He also scored a memorable unbeaten 79 in the Vitality Blast quarter-final to take Somerset to Finals Day.
Toyota PCA Men’s Player of the Year, Overton, said: “It’s a phenomenal feeling. To be chosen by your peers to win this award is very special, it means so much to me.
“To be able to put in consistent performances has made it a great year. My bowling ticked along and after I scored that hundred at Essex in the second game of the season my form with the bat carried on throughout the summer. The quarter-final against Yorkshire was where I felt like this year is the one where everything’s going my way and everything clicked.
“I felt like I got in a groove where my body was in a good spot, not 100 per cent because of the schedule, but mentally I felt like I was in a great spot to be able to go out and perform when games come along near enough every other day.”

Toyota PCA Women’s Player of the Year
Somerset skipper Luff scored more than 1,000 runs this summer, 536 of those came in the Metro Bank One Day Cup where she averaged 41.23 and scored three fifties and two hundreds, with a highest score of 108.
The 32-year-old also helped Trent Rockets to success in The Hundred and scored 397 runs in the Vitality Blast, including five half centuries and 119 runs in 100-ball tournament.
Toyota PCA Women’s Player of the Year, Luff, said: “To win this award is a huge honour. To be shortlisted was a privilege, especially alongside Dunks, Boosh, and Mady who have all had amazing summers.
“It’s super special people have voted for me after the performances and impact they feel I’ve had this year. It means that I’m doing things in the right way, and people think highly of you.
“I’ve always been a leader that wants to lead from the front, but I think people are seeing that play out in games now. I think this year I’ve just showcased what I’m capable of.
“I’ve had a new role at Somerset opening the batting and it’s safe to say it’s gone pretty well and I’ve probably unlocked something to bring the best out of me as a player. I’m so grateful to all my teammates and coaches at Somerset that have supported me.”

Toyota PCA Men’s Young Player of the Year
Hampshire and England fast bowler Baker was awarded a Test debut this summer and took 62 wickets across the domestic game, including 21 wickets in the Vitality Blast at a stellar average of 11.76, with best figures of 5-21.
The 23-year-old picked up 12 wickets in The Hundred and 10 for England, taking six dismissals in IT20 cricket, with an average of 7.33.
Toyota PCA Men’s Young Player of the Year, Baker, said: “I’m absolutely delighted. Thanks to everyone who voted for me, I genuinely really do appreciate it, it’s such an awesome feeling.
“There’s obviously some very, very impressive names on that trophy and to be included in the list is fantastic.
“I’ve been really thankful for so many opportunities this year, including Finals Day and the number of games I have played for England. I’ve loved it. My Test debut was something I’ve been dreaming about since I started cricket at 11 years old.
“I remember Brooky’s words in one of the team talks when he said, ‘everything you do is 100 miles an hour’ and that was probably the best compliment I could receive.
“It’s hard to put 2026 into words, I’m over the moon.”

Tilly Corteen-Coleman
Toyota PCA Women’s Young Player of the Year
Surrey and England left-arm spinner Corteen-Coleman took 27 wickets in domestic cricket with a best of 3-27 in The Hundred. She took 12 wickets in the 50-over tournament and 13 in The Hundred at an impressive average of 16.46.
The 19-year-old was part of the T20 World Cup squad and was awarded international debuts in IT20 and ODIs, taking seven wickets for England.
Toyota PCA Women’s Young Player of the Year, Corteen-Coleman, said: “It’s obviously a huge privilege to win the award, and off the back of an incredible season, I couldn’t have been more excited about it.
“It’s obviously a huge year next year for English cricket in 2027, so I’d love to be involved in as much as possible. There’s a red-ball camp, and I still haven’t made my Test debut, so that would be a great opportunity.
“I would love to thank my family, I wouldn’t be able to do this without their support. A big thanks to Surrey and England, they’ve supported me so much in my journey, and I’m really grateful for all the opportunities. The PCA has also been an incredible support, and Toyota, our sponsor, I can’t thank them enough.”
Former England captain Heather Knight was announced as the PCA Outstanding Contribution Award winner for her incredible dedication to the game over a prolonged period. Retiring from international cricket this summer, Knight has overseen significant change in the women’s game having sat on many boards and committees, helped lead the player body as PCA Vice Chair, represented her country on 320 occasions, captaining 199 of those.
The ECB announced the winner of their Special Merit award which was presented to former England batter Tammy Beaumont following her stellar international career.
The PCA Awards also recognised Ian Blackwell and Gabi Brown as the Umpires of the Year, voted for by the players.
During the celebrations, funds were raised for the Cricketers’ Trust, with the players’ charity recently featuring on Sky Sports during the second ODI against Sri Lanka as Neil Carter, Simon Cusden and Matt Dunn praised the life-saving support they and their families received.

The PCA Awards in partnership with Toyota brings the curtain down on the professional season with the biggest awards ceremony in English cricket. Former players alongside over 180 current professionals will join key members of the industry to champion the best-performing individuals of the summer while reflecting on those who have given so much to the game.
Covering the full professional game, players are honoured across international, domestic, men’s and women’s cricket, with the awards ceremony taking place at the Exhibition White City, London on Wednesday 30 September.
