England all-rounder ends the 2024/25 winter season with the most MVP points.

England all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt has finished top of the Overall Women’s International MVP table, powered by OFX.

The 32-year-old ended the 2024/25 winter season with 208.83 points, edging out Danni Wyatt-Hodge and Sophie Ecclestone.

England played 18 matches across all formats during the 2024/25 winter with Sciver-Brunt playing in them all. She scored a total of 645 runs at an average of 43 and also took eight wickets.

The vice-captain earned the majority of MVP points with the bat. The right-hander’s batting prowess saw her claim 159.99 points, a number only bettered by Wyatt-Hodge over the past four months.

Sciver-Brunt secured the Match MVP on four separate occasions over the winter. Her best performance came against South Africa in the solitary Test match played at Bloemfontein. The experienced batter scored 128 off just 145 balls, an innings which comprised of 18 boundaries, earning 41.29 points. She also forged a 174-run partnership with opener Maia Bouchier for the third wicket in the first innings to help England secure a 286-run victory.

The middle-order batter also won two Match MVPs in the IT20 format. With the points tally of 21.90, she helped beat South Africa in the first IT20 on course to a 3-0 series win in November. The right-hander scored 59 on that occasion to make sure England came away with the win in East London.

The Blaze star had a solitary Match MVP in ODIs against Australia in the recently concluded Ashes series. The batting all-rounder did her valiant best in a losing cause by scoring 61 off 68 balls to pick up 21.37 MVP points during the first ODI in Hobart.

Sciver-Brunt managed to top the Overall Women’s International MVP table this winter despite some excellent performances from fellow England teammates.

Wyatt-Hodge came second in the standings with 196.60 MVP points, including 169.60 batting points. The 33-year-old was the third-highest runs scorer at the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup held in the UAE with 151 runs.

Ecclestone, meanwhile, finished third in table with 192.53 points – 141.65 points earned through her excellence with the ball, which was the highest amongst all England players this winter. The spinner picked up 31 wickets from 18 matches across all three formats, including a five-wicket haul against Australia in the day-night Test match held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in January.

Sciver-Brunt has now topped the previous two Overall MVP charts after finishing at the top of the Summer MVP standings with 159.63 points on her way to being named the Metro Bank ODI Women’s Player of the Summer in 2024.

Following a successful winter at a personal level, the all-rounder will now form part of the Mumbai Indians squad and will compete in the third season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) in India.

Sciver-Brunt will return to international cricket in the summer to play two white-ball series at home against the West Indies and India.
