The PCA has welcomed new members to the Players’ Committee at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) which was held in London with the start of the domestic season just weeks away.
The occasion marked a year as Chair for Warwickshire bowler Olly Hannon-Dalby who updated the membership with the Association’s current proceedings, before Chief Executive Daryl Mitchell and Non-Executive Chair James Cameron addressed the room.
The AGM, which took place on Tuesday 3 March 2026, saw the Players’ Committee agree the 2025 Statement to Members and the 2025 AGM minutes before a workshop to aid the Reps in their important roles.
All playing attendees, which included additional senior players, received an upskilling session from PCA staff on how to relay information from changing rooms to the PCA and vice versa, as well as how to best engage in difficult discussions with peers or CEOs at their clubs. The aim being to improve their ability to perform the Rep role while enhancing their personal development for the future careers.

The Players’ Committee has increased in size with more squads opting for a joint Rep role amongst a number of changes since the end of the 2025 campaign. Matt Quinn and Jas Singh (Kent), Jack Leach and Josh Shaw (Somerset) join Brett D’Oliveira in joint positions, with the Worcestershire captain sharing the role with Adam Finch. Meanwhile, Liam Trevaskis is now supporting Rishi Patel at Leicestershire and Eva Gray will work alongside Amara Carr at Essex.
Further changes see Lauren Filer take over as the England Women’s Representative, James Hayes appointed at Nottinghamshire while newly promoted Tier 1 side Yorkshire now have voting rights, with Beth Langston holding the duty.
To conclude the day, players and staff in attendance departed for the Padel courts at Battersea Power Station to continue the conversations.
PCA Chair and Warwickshire bowler, Olly Hannon-Dalby, said: “We’ve had some really good progress this year, especially on No Objection Certificates, abolishing the 12.5% in The Hundred for the men and salary increases. To be here talking about the different aspects going on in each changing room is brilliant.
“Part of being a Rep is having difficult conversations, whether that’s with your teammates or people higher up the chain at your club, so the education session was really beneficial to ensure the Players’ Committee has the required skills to deal with those situations.
“The safety in the knowledge that you are supported worldwide, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year is something that our members are very lucky to have. It’s great to know that wherever you are in the world you can contact the PCA and they will support you.”
Glamorgan PCA Representative and captain, Kiran Carlson, said: “It’s always a really interesting meeting and nice to kick off the season with the AGM. The PCA is in a very strong position at the moment and I’m always impressed to see what goes on behind the scenes. It was great to be able to learn a bit more about the Futures Fund and how I can relay that information back to the Glamorgan squad.
“The education session about how to talk to CEOs and your peers was a skill that will benefit me in the rest of my life and there was a lot of knowledge in the room, I feel in a better position now to be able to have those conversations.”
Hampshire PCA Representative and batter, Ella McCaughan, said: “It was really nice to get everyone together and discuss elements that are happening in the game. The men have had access to the Futures Fund for a few years now and it’s great that we can now benefit from that in the women’s game.
“Previously I wasn’t aware of what goes on behind the scenes and how important the Players’ Committee is but keeping that bridge between the players and the PCA and ECB is really important for player welfare.
“Learning how to spread the word to our squads and how to speak to CEOs in the upskilling session was really insightful, we are vehicles for the opinions in our dressing rooms and making sure they get back to the PCA.”
