PCA mourns Richie Benaud Angus Porter, Chief Executive of the Professional Cricketers’ Association, has paid tribute to Richie Benaud, the former Australia Test captain and outstanding broadcaster and journalist, who has died aged 84. “Richie Benaud loved players, whether it was those he captained during an illustrious Test career or those he commentated on as the outstanding commentator of his generation,” Porter said. .”Richie was always prepared to embraced change throughout his career and his lifelong passion for cricket encouraged many others to play the game. “Players, past and present, have lost a great supporter with Richie’s sad passing, and cricket has lost one of its most influential figures.” {{ak_sharing}}
