Jonathan Agnew and Phil Tufnell BAck again Jonathan Agnew and Phil Tufnell will again be raising funds for the PCA Professional Cricketers’ Trust when they again take to the stage for the latest of their popular Aggers and Tuffers shows. The former England Test players turned broadcasters with BBC’s Test Match Special have been outstanding supporters of the PCA Professional Cricketers’ Trust and raised £ 7,500 from collections during their most recent tour. The pair will be back on tour again next month and will again be raising funds for the Professional Cricketers’ Trust which is part of the PCA’s commitment to helping former and current players and their dependants in times of hardship and upheaval, or to readjust to the world beyond the game. Few careers carry so much uncertainty as that of a professional cricketer. The demands of playing any sport for a living leaves little time to consider and plan for unforeseen misfortunes in the future. A concerted and proactive drive to help and educate on all health and wellbeing issues is key in helping to negate problems further down the line. The Fund also supports players and their dependants who might be in need of a helping hand with medical advice, a much-needed operation or those who require specialist advice, care or assistance. Aggers and Tuffers shows offer fascinating no-holds-barred entertainment for cricket fans and non-lovers of the game and offer an opportunity for the audience to tweet Aggers with their own questions.
