New Rankings launched at landmark moment for English cricket.

The PCA Most Valuable Player Rankings will be keeping track of the top performers as English cricket prepares for the arrival of The Hundred, with equal individual prize money on offer across the men’s and women’s competitions.
The 100-ball competition is set to revolutionise white-ball cricket. With more of a focus on figures and statistics than ever before, the MVP Rankings will give the clearest picture of the top performers in the brand-new tournament, which gets underway with a women’s fixture, Oval Invincibles hosting Manchester Originals on Wednesday evening.
Many of the best players from around the world have travelled to England and Wales to appear in The Hundred, and they will face off against the likes of Sam Cook, Leus du Plooy and Ben Raine, who all recently earned Vitality Wildcard picks after ranking high up this year’s Vitality Blast MVP.
An amazing opportunity for established domestic pros, The Hundred MVP will also see the involvement of England stars including Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler and Chris Jordan, who will all be coming in off the back of IT20 series against both Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
The men’s and women’s tournaments will take place simultaneously, with every match bar the opening fixture taking place on the same day at the same venues. This gives us the unique opportunity to compare performances across men’s and women’s cricket via The Hundred MVP.
Emma Lamb, Evelyn Jones and Charlie Dean should count themselves amongst the favourites to be in contention at the top of the Hundred MVP after excelling in the early rounds of another new tournament for this season – the 20-over Charlotte Edwards Cup.
As with the men’s tournament, the women’s Hundred will see the involvement of a number of England stars, including all-rounder Nat Sciver who currently leads the women’s IT20 MVP.
With 68 fixtures due to take place over 32 days, spectators will be watching with interest to see who can make a name for themselves at the top of The Hundred MVP, with no previous form to go off as the tournament breaks new ground.
A men’s and women’s MVP winner will be announced after the tournament final at Lord’s on Saturday 21 August, and the individual winners will take home equal prize money.
