crickAid Set To Launch At The Brit Oval – 15/02/2007 A new type of cricketing holiday brought to you by volunteer holiday specialists Different Travel will launch at the Brit Oval next Wednesday February 21st, at 12.00 in the John Major Suite. crickAid.net is an exciting new idea enabling cricket fans to combine overseas tours with a few days getting stuck into development and cricket related projects in the host country. Every crickAid.net tour will also raise much needed funds for the CHASE Ben Hollioake Fund, which supports the work of the CHASE hospice care for children – supporting the families of children in the UK with life limiting conditions. crickAid.net has teamed up with the Professional Cricketers’ Association to ensure a crickAid.net tour will guarantee you unique cricketing experiences and opportunities to mix with top cricketing stars that no other cricket tour company can bring you. The first major crickAid tour will take place this winter when the England team will cross swords with Sri Lanka in a three Test match series The crickAid tour will feature a PCA Masters XI playing against a Sri Lankan Invitation XI to raise more money for Tsunami affected areas. The PCA Masters side will be skippered by former Warwickshire and England batsman Nick Knight this year and he said, "Cricket fans always say how welcome they are made to feel by people who very often live in poverty that we could never imagine. Therefore I am delighted to be working with my colleagues at crickAid.net, the PCA and the Ben Hollioake Fund in providing fantastic cricket experiences which give something back to the locals and help kids in the UK with life limited conditions." If PCA Corporate Partners are interested in attending the launch please rsvp to omar@khanconsulting.co.uk or adrian@crickaid.net. For more information, please visit www.crickAid.net
