The class of 2017 record a special video message ahead of Sunday’s final.

As England gear up to face Australia on the biggest stage in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Final on Sunday, the heroes of the successful 2017 campaign have come together to record a special video message for the current squad.

Joined by PCA President Charlotte Edwards and Non-Executive Director Isa Guha, the likes of Jenny Gunn, Alex Hartley and Laura Marsh all appear in the inspiring clip. The full video will be shown to the squad on the other side of the globe ahead of Sunday’s showcase fixture in Christchurch, New Zealand, whilst an edited version has been released to the public via the PCA.

England won the previous Women’s Cricket World Cup after overcoming India in a scarcely believable Lord’s final in 2017, and they will be looking to make it back-to-back victories in 2022, having won their last five consecutive fixtures going into the final.

Whilst seven members of the 15-strong 2017 squad are amongst the 2022 cohort, the remainder are backing England to bring it home once more:
