solanki appointed new fica president Vikram Solanki, the former Professional Cricketers’ Association Chairman, has been appointed the new President of the Federation of International Cricketers’ Associations The former Worcestershire, Surrey and England international batsman succeeds Jimmy Adams who has stepped down from his FICA role following his appointment as the new West Indies Director of Cricket. Solanki, 40, retired from playing two years ago having played in 51 One Day Internationals and scored more than 30,000 first-class runs. He was PCA Chairman from 2009 to 2013 and is now Surrey’s assistant coach. ” I am privileged to accept the position as FICA President and look forward to having a hands on contribution to the organisation and to the player cause around the world.
