With the women’s season starting on Saturday, which players have a chance of making the MVP top 10, or even, after two years of Kathryn Bryce domination, challenging for the 2026 title? The MVP is powered by OFX, the PCA’s Official FX Partner.
Kathryn Bryce secured remarkable back-to-back titles by claiming the women’s Domestic Overall MVP last season, winning the £7,500 prize money and a bespoke MVP trophy. The Scottish international also won the Metro Bank One Day Cup MVP, earning another £2,500 prize and stamping her mark as one of the leading players in the domestic game.
The MVP tables are updated live and in-game on the PCA website for the most accurate reflection of performance in the professional game in England and Wales.
As the season kicks off this Saturday, these are the players to look out for in the women’s Domestic Overall MVP rankings this summer.
Durham Women – Hollie Armitage
A remarkable 2024 saw the batting all-rounder finish seventh in the Domestic Overall MVP table with 289.12 points and second in the Charlotte Edwards Cup MVP rankings. A strong 2025 landed her 20th in the Domestic Overall MVP with 241.50 points. Carrying the momentum of winning The Hundred as Northern Superchargers captain in 2025, the all-rounder could certainly be returning to the top 10 in 2026.
Essex Women – Eva Gray
With a 51st place finish in 2023, a 39th place finish in 2024 and a 22nd place finish in 2025, Gray has improved relentlessly in the MVP rankings. The seam bowler racked up 174.87 bowling points in 2025, more than double her 2024 tally. Another strong year could see the 25-year-old challenge for the MVP Team of the Year in 2026.
Hampshire Women – Ella McCaughan
The first woman to make a Vitality Blast century, McCaughan led the 2025 MVP until injury blighted what had been an incredible start to the season. Even with her injury, the batter finished 27th in 2025 and was shortlisted for the Toyota PCA Women’s Young Player of the Year. The 23-year-old is clearly a huge talent and a genuine contender for the overall MVP accolade this season.
Somerset Women – Alex Griffiths
Someone who can impact all aspects of the game, Griffiths earned 71.34 batting points, 30.26 bowling points and 27 fielding points in 2025. Disciplined seam bowling with good variation, masterful fielding and strong batting make up an impressive game. Finishing 95th and 68th in the last two seasons, her upward trajectory could see her challenge for the top 10 in 2026.
Lancashire Women – Ailsa Lister
Lister is one of the fastest-rising players in the MVP, soaring from her 144th finish in 2024 up to 24th in 2025. The Scottish wicketkeeper also secured an 11th place finish in the 2025 Vitality Blast MVP and a huge 169.86 batting points across the 2025 summer. After hitting the winning runs for Lancashire in the 2025 Metro Bank One Day Cup too, the 22-year-old may have just picked up a habit for winning.
Surrey Women – Dani Gregory
The leg-spinner recorded an impressive 108.61 bowling points in 2025, finishing 51st in the Domestic Overall MVP rankings. A consistent performer for Surrey, she finished 36th in the Vitality Blast MVP last year and could improve on that heading into 2026. Having signed a contract in The Hundred with MI London, the 27-year-old could challenge for the top 10 with a strong performance this season.
The Blaze – Cassidy McCarthy
McCarthy is another who made a huge leap from 2024 to 2025, jumping from 132nd to 63rd in the Domestic Overall MVP rankings. The seam bowler soared from 15.93 bowling points in 2024 to 107.06 in 2025. Having spent the winter training with the England Women’s Performance Programme, the 23-year-old will be primed and ready to start the season strong and build on her rapid development so far.
Warwickshire Women – Nat Wraith
Finishing 23rd in the Domestic Overall MVP table last year, the 24-year-old wicketkeeper-batter will surely be challenging for the top 10 in 2026. Racking up 55 fielding points and 168.56 batting points in 2025, she also finished 13th in the Vitality Blast MVP rankings. With 37 professional stumpings to her name, she has the potential to make things happen behind the stumps and in the MVP rankings.
Yorkshire Women – Grace Hall
With Yorkshire becoming a Tier 1 professional team this season, Hall is relatively unknown to the MVP table. However, with her unique, slinging action, cunning variations and lower order runs, the York-born all-rounder has more than enough firepower to make an impact in her home county’s debut season and the Domestic Overall MVP table in 2026.
