Rymell started as a middle-order batter with his debut coming in the T20 Blast in 2019. However, his most successful period came up the order opening alongside Alastair Cook, a fifty and a hundred helped Essex reach the 2021 Royal London One Day Cup semi-final. He was Essex’s 2nd XI top run scorer and played for his native Suffolk in 2023 for more competitive game time following his departure from Chelmsford.
