29 year old Aron Nijjar has spent 10 years at Essex in recent years as understudy to Simon Harmer. Nijjar has been a stand out performer in second XI cricket as a left-arm spinner and lower order batter and would have played much more 1st XI cricket at any other County. He proved he is ready made for 1st XI cricket with 10 wickets in two matches for Kent on loan at the end of 2023.
