How many years were you on the staff before you were capped?
Six years — capped in 1990.
How did you receive your County cap?
It was during the lunch interval of a game at Bournemouth versus Kent. I thought it might be on the cards at some stage, bit it was a surprise that it happened when it did.
Best part of being a capped cricketer?
We had no mobile phones in those days! I think it was the recognition of being an integral member of the squad.
Career high?
Winning Lord’s finals.
Career low?
Getting left out of first-team matches.
