Team Signings boost Benevolent Fund
With every tour departure comes the traditional team signing session. Prior to flying out to India, the team met several hours early to wade through the numerous bats and shirts to be used for various sponsors and charities. While signings are time-consuming, the benefits to charitable organisations are invaluable. At the recent Lord’s Luncheon Ashes event, a signed print from the Edgbaston Test raised an incredible £5000. The proceeds of the auction went to the PCA Benevolent Fund and is an example of the England players directly benefiting the fund.
