TEPP hosts speaker development programme
On a cold, crisp January morning, members of the current England squad and former England representatives made the journey to Edgbaston to participate in the speaker development programme. The players spent the day learning the art of after-dinner speaking - telling their story and entertaining crowds with amusing anecdotes. Obviously, some players were naturally funnier than others but the skills of all involved became more finely honed towards the end of the day!
The PCA, via the Team England Player Partnership, are running a programme of personal development, to enable players to explore the opportunities available in their careers after cricket. This day, co-ordinated by Frank Furness, is one of the many days available to players to expand their skill base, hosted by a network of coaches, including commercial development, media training, IT and other educational programmes.
