OneMove Signs PCA Masters Cricket Sponsorship - 13/06/2006
OneMove, the company that assists homebuyers by making the whole process of moving house a quick, painless experience, has become title sponsor of the Professional Cricketers’ Association Masters Series.
Over the past four years, the PCA, which represents past, present and future professional cricketers, has developed and expanded the Masters concept and it will this year stage around 10 matches, including a season finale in the West Indies.
Other sponsors signed for the series include national carrier of the State of Qatar, Qatar Airways, and Cockspur Rum.
The OneMove PCA Masters Series kicks off today with an eagerly anticipated Twenty20 match against Sri Lanka at Arundel Castle in Sussex. The Masters play again on Thursday (15th) at the Rosebowl against Hampshire as part of spectacular day of cricket, including the main feature of England versus Sri Lanka in their first ever Twenty20 encounter.
The PCA Masters team includes a host of current and former international stars and features young and talented players tipped for possible England careers. For the match against Sri Lanka, players include: Chris Cairns (New Zealand), Jimmy Adams (West Indies), Vasbert Drakes (West Indies), Shaun Udal (England) and
Matt Prior (England).
Steve Marsh, events director at the PCA, said: “Our Masters series has gone from strength-to-strength and in taking on top quality opposition, such as Australia in 2005 and Sri Lanka this year, the matches have become a real showcase for highly talented past, present and future players.”
OneMove, a UK-wide service, which takes the hassle out of moving by taking care of all the chasing, legalities and logistics, was launched earlier this year.
