If you have your career curtailed by injury or illness, you may be eligible to claim half of your finishing salary for up to 2 years.
- To qualify you must be a contributor to the ECB group pension scheme.
For example:
Finishing Salary £30,000 (2006)
2007 – possible payment due of £15,000*
2008 – possible payment due of £15,000*
*Payments will depend on level of any other earnings during the subsequent 2 years. However, half of any salary would be the guaranteed minimum payment, subject to the claim being successful.
