Steve Stubbings – Derbyshire

Steve Stubbings joined Derbyshire in the summer of 1997, and he scored his maiden first class hundred against Kent in 2000. He was awarded his county cap in 2001 and was voted the county's player-of-the-season that year.

Steve was one of the few Derbyshire players to emerge with an enhanced reputation in a 2005 season that saw them finish bottom of the County Championship – he improved on his previous year's performances, scoring two centuries and topping 1000 runs. In his 11 years at Derbyshire he has scored over 6500 first class runs.
