Andrew Flintoff (Lancashire)
How many years were you on the staff before you were capped?
I made my debut at 17 and I was capped four seasons later, the same year I first played for England.
How did you receive your County cap?
On the pitch before a Sunday league game by Wasim Akram, who was Lancs skipper at the time.
Best part of being a capped cricketer?
Being able to wear the full red rose on the chest. It was just a great honour, as a Preston lad and someone who’d played for Lancs since I was a kid, it was something I’d always wanted to achieve.
Career high?
Winning the Ashes!
Career low?
Losing the 2002 semi-final (of the last ever B&H Cup) to Warwickshire on the last ball. It was in front of our home supporters as well, which made it even worse. For me that was the lowest point.
Best forthcoming event?
They’re all going to be pretty special!
