Napier wins Twenty20 Title

Twenty20 Finals day was as action packed as it promised to be, with Middlesex and Kent battling it out for the title. Middlesex won but it is Essex’s big hitter Graham Napier who has secured the 2008 Twenty20 MVP title. His consistent batting and bowling during the competition ensured he was always at the top end of the table but his outstanding performance with the bat versus Sussex, where he hit 16 6’s, ensured his Twenty20 MVP crown.

Anderson holds tight

After a tough match at Headingley it’s no surprise to see a fairly static England MVP table with James Anderson holding tight at the top. A third Test century for Stuart Broad sees him move up to 2nd place in the overall MVP table with Kevin Pietersen and Ryan Sidebottom in 3rd and 4th places respectively.
