24th June 2008 – JLT Writing Room DinnerThirty two guests of PCA Lead Sponsor Jardine Lloyd Thompson joined PCA Ambassadors Gladstone Small, Barry Richards and Jeremy Coney for an intimate dinner in the historic setting of the Writing Room. The guests were treated to a behind the scenes tour of the Pavilion, with the past players all sharing stories of their playing days. The guests then returned to the Writing Room for a drinks reception and 3-course dinner followed by coffee and port, while listening to a Q&A with the three special guests. |

25th June 2008 – PCA ODI BreakfastOn the morning of the fourth One Day International between England and New Zealand, the PCA hosted a breakfast in the beautiful Library at the Marriott County Hall with special guests Sir Richard Hadlee and Graham Thorpe. The guests were treated to a Q&A with the PCA Ambassadors, hosted by Gladstone Small, while enjoying a hearty breakfast, before heading off to The Brit Oval to watch the match with a hamper lunch. |

7th July 2008 – The Official Proteas Pre-Series Dinner EventOver 250 of the PCA’s Commercial Partners and guests of Concerto Group attended a sumptuous dinner with the South African team in the beautiful surroundings of the Conservatory, in the grounds of the Royal Hospital at Chelsea, before the start of the Test Series here in the UK. Captain Graeme Smith, along with Makhaya Ntini, Mark Boucher and Neil McKenzie, entertained the guests with an in-depth Q&A hosted by Pat Murphy, while Shaun Udal, as MC and Auctioneer, did a sterling job raising substantial funds for the PCA Benevolent Fund through a raffle, auction and silent auction. The PCA would like to thank Concerto Ground, SACA and Cricket South Africa, along with Castle Lager and Raison Social, for their sponsorship of the evening. |

9th July 2008 – Scottish & Newcastle Eve of Test DinnerThe fifth Annual Scottish & Newcastle Eve of Test Dinner was once again held at the Marriott Maida Vale. Seventy guests of Scottish & Newcastle UK Ltd joined PCA Ambassadors Alec Stewart, Shaun Udal, Barry Richards, Dean Headley, Ronnie Irani, Ian Harvey, Devon Malcolm and Dominic Cork, for an evening of entertainment before the Lord’s Test against South Africa began. The guests were treated to a Q&A with their special guests and competition was high with the now traditional Scottish & Newcastle Pub Quiz. The guests then joined the PCA for their Test Match Breakfast the next morning, before heading off to Lord’s to enjoy the cricket. |

10th and 11th July 2008 – PCA 903 Club Test Match BreakfastThe breakfasts for this Test were held at the Marriott Maida Vale and the Marriott Regents Park and, once again, guests were entertained by a celebrity Q&A hosted by Gladstone Small. Celebrity guests Barry Richards, Dominic Cork and Nick Knight, gave some candid insights into the upcoming series, before the guests headed off to watch a day at the cricket with a hamper lunch. The PCA would like to thank the Marriott Maida Vale and Marriott Regents Park for their kind hospitality. |
