A Sporting Evening with the New Zealand Cricket Team - 12th May 2008
Over 150 guests joined the PCA for a Sporting Evening with the New Zealand Cricket Team on Monday 12th May. The event was held at the Concerto Group venue - the beautiful Plaisterers Hall in the City and the event raised substantial funds for the PCA Benevolent Fund and the NZCPA Player Hardship Fund.
The New Zealand team were all present at the event which comprised of a drinks reception followed by a sumptuous 4-course dinner with a celebrity Q&A. Radio 5 Live's Pat Murphy hosted New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori, wicket-keeper Brendon McCullum and all-rounder Jacob Oram in a lively and informal session that enabled the guests to get close to the players and ask them questions while Chris Cowdrey did a sterling job as MC and auctioneer for the evening.
