PCA Garden Party & Cricket Tournament
Tues 4th & Wed 12th September
JP Gettys Ground, Wormsley
The PCA Garden Party is an annual event held in the beautiful grounds of Sir John Paul Getty's estate in Wormsley. The day involves a fiercely contested 6 a side tournament on one of the most beautiful cricket pitches in England. For a second year running due to popular demand the PCA held two dates to accommodate the business partners and guests for which the event is now a fixture in their calendars!
The 4th saw teams from First Union captained by Dean Headley , Berryman captained by Darren Bicknell , Boundary Sports captained by Martin Bicknell, Lees Lloyd Whitley captained by Joey Benjamin , Scottish & Newcastle captained by Ian Harvey and FT captained by Devon Malcolm with Berryman coming out the victors.
The 12th saw teams from 3g Comms captained by Dean Headley, Marketform captained by Chris Lewis, Quintus PA captained by Martin Bicknell , Braemer Seascope captained by Devon Malcolm, John Charcol captained by Paul Taylor and Schneider Trading captained by Nathan Astle with 3g Comms taking the trophy home.
Both dates were blessed with glorious sunshine with over 400 spectators who enjoyed a champagne reception, lunch and afternoon tea. The event is not only a magnificent day in the quintessential English countryside but also a great fundraising event for the PCA Benevolent fund with totals this year reaching over £20,000.
