Loughborough MCCU

The Loughborough MCC University cricket programme offers cricketers the chance to pursue a career in cricket without compromising the academic qualifications needed later on in life.

Working alongside both Loughborough University and Loughborough College we are able to provide highly credible courses and support cricketers who:

  • Are 16 years and over and looking to pursue a career in cricket without compromising their education
  • Are looking to pursue a career back into cricket as well as an education having been released from a county
  • Have the ability to still play a high level of cricket but feel education is at the forefront of their career

The Cricket Programme

Loughborough MCCU programme is similar to county academy structure and is arguably one of the best for developing potential First Class Cricketers. • Level IV coaching (Head Coach Russell Cobb)
  • Specialist coaching
  • Individual strength and conditioning training programmes
  • One-to-ones/small group cricket sessions
  • Lifestyle/nutrition/psychology seminars
  • Regular fitness testing
  • Communication between counties
