Welcome To AOC Issue No.24
With the summer really heating up, England face a hugely talented Pakistan side, led by the talismanic skipper Inzamam-Ul-Haq. The big man keeps a low profile in the media, but AOC caught up with him to bring you a rare and fascinating insight into the mindset of one of the legends of the game.
Daniel Vettori
New Zealand’s premier left arm spinner made his international debut aged just eighteen and has since established himself as the best finger spinner in the game. Although his summer with Warwickshire was ended by a stress fracture, AOC caught up with Vettori for a beer before he returned home, to chart his own spin on the game.
Rosalie Birch
Sussex and England’s Rosalie Birch looked set to be the best woman cricketer in the country two years ago, if not the world. A tall right-handed batsman and off spin bowler, St Albans-born Rosalie looked like making the transition from support player to star turn after great performances at international and domestic level. After a dip in form there has been a recent upturn in fortunes and AOC met up with Rosalie to find out how close she is to establishing her place back in the big-time.
And There’s More!
Plus we have a S.W.O.T analysis on Pakistan leg spinner Danish Kaneria and a gallons of insight from inside the game including Graeme Hick, Graeme Swann, Mark Butcher, Ian Ward, David Collier, Chris Cairns, Tim May and Kevin Dean to name but a few.
